Kelli Klymenko

Kelli Klymenko

Kelli Klymenko is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer based in Sedona, Arizona. Known for his evocative imagery and conceptual work, Kelli blends a passion for visual storytelling with a deep reverence for nature and science. His photography—spanning high-resolution landscapes to expressive iPhone captures—has been featured in national advertising campaigns, tourism publications, and the Getty Images collection. For over a decade, his work has been a consistent visual presence in the Experience Sedona Guide(2014–2024), showcasing the beauty and spirit of the region.

Kelli studied at Parsons School of Design, where he developed a strong foundation in visual arts and design. His artistic practice explores themes of cosmic wonder, environmental consciousness, and human connection through a variety of media, including digital art and photography.

An advocate for climate action, Kelli collaborates with Global Green on initiatives that raise funds for climate resilience and community rebuilding. Through this work, he helps bridge the gap between creativity and sustainability, using art and storytelling to inspire positive environmental change.

Kelli filmed and photographed the Sedona Chamber of Commerce’s 2014–2015 television commercials and spearheaded a comprehensive marketing campaign that included billboards, print, and web content featured on VisitSedona.com.

Before relocating to the Southwest, Kelli was the owner of Spellbound, a highly successful metaphysical shop on the East Coast that operated for over 17 years. At its height, Spellbound became a creative and cultural landmark, known not only for its unique offerings but for its progressive philosophy. Kelli created and sold millions of packs of handcrafted incense and essential oil blends over the years, developing more than 300 original, intention-based formulations that were widely recognized for their quality and imaginative compositions.

Unlike traditional metaphysical shops focused solely on mysticism, Spellbound promoted a foundation of free thought, critical thinking, and self-help. Through workshops, writings, and community engagement, Kelli used the space to encourage intellectual exploration, self-empowerment, and personal transformation.

Kelli previously wrote an art blog and a print art column for Sedona Red Rock News, where he highlighted regional artists and shared reflections on the creative process.

As Marketing Director for Sedona Arts Center for over 15 years, Kelli has led the design and branding of more than 32 catalogs and major campaigns. He is well known throughout the regional arts community for his creative leadership and commitment to supporting artists and arts organizations.

In addition to his marketing work, Kelli is also an educator at Sedona Arts Center. For over a decade, he has taught his popular iPhoneography Workshop, inspiring students to explore creative mobile photography. He also teaches Marketing for Artists and has contributed to educational initiatives such as the Sedona Entrepreneurial Artists Development Program, part of a USDA Rural Development effort to support artist entrepreneurship.

Kelli made the material accessible and had a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us. His sense of humor kept things light and fun. I took the class to get the lay of the land, so to speak, on creating videos - especially editing - and that is exactly what I got. It would be great to see a level II class offered for people who want to learn more advanced techniques and who already have a basic understanding of editing.

Kelli was amazing. He had the patience of a saint. Folks in the class had tons of photography experience and one of us, (me) needed help turning the iPhone on. He met all of us where we were at and everyone seemed to enjoy the process.

Kelli shared a lot of knowledge & helpful hints. I’d heard his class was very good and was not disappointed!

Kelli has a great sense of humor and obviously loves what he's doing. He was extremely patient and helpful to all the members of the class.
